Chase Elliott Holds Off Denny Hamlin’s Last-Lap Charge to Win Inaugural GoBowling 235 on the Daytona Road Course Solidifying his Ringer Status

Chase Elliott does it again on a road course but this time he notches the inaugural win at the most historic Infield Road Course layout in all of the United States, the Road Course at the World Center of Racing, Daytona International Speedway.

Kyle Busch’s absolutely abysmal season continued in today’s race. His potential to win looked promising until he aggressively tried to pass Denny Hamlin on Lap Two and failed at outbreaking him. Busch flat-spotted his left front tire and was recovering smoothly until one of his rear break rodors failed. The team repaired it in seven laps impressed ultimately he was surprisingly the only retirement from the race. The durability of the cars today speaks to the advancement in engineering and performance equity in that department compared to as recently as 2017.
