The NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series Sunoco 159 at the Daytona International Speedway Road-Course, renowned for Sportscar Racing. This was the inaugural race and it definitely lived up to its hype. Drivers wrestled their trucks around the course with precision even though there wasn’t any practice time afforded to them. Stage cautions provided plenty of storylines but almost eliminated green flag pit stops altogether. Brett Moffitt dominated the first stage but it ended under caution. 44 laps would have been more spectacular if there weren’t guaranteed cautions. Just watch the final 10 laps and the intensity speaks for itself. Moffitt and Creed combined to led 33 of the 46 laps (71.72%). Creed earned 59 total points including 40 for winning and 19 stage points, 6 Playoff Points and led 19 laps. Moffitt earned 47 points, one Playoff and led 13 laps.
Up next the drivers with toe around Miles the Monster in the KDI Office Technology 200 on Friday at 5:30 PM. I have faith that Christian Eches will break through the barrier by winning and he’ll continue to be my pick until he wins.
