The Magic Is Back for Bad Brad at the Magic Mile

Last Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series hosted its annual race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, a standalone race for the first time ever, the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301. Foxwoods Resort Casino returned as the presenting sponsor of the race for the third consecutive season which was relieving to see.

The race was intense from the start. Drivers couldn’t hide from each until Brad Keselowski wrestled the lead from Denny Hamlin. Keselowski has single-handedly made himself the third-best driver this season. He finished Stage 1 in second-place, and won Stage 2 and the race, leading seven times for 184 laps which is an average of 26 laps each segment.

Kevin Harvick has 803 points. Keselowski moves into second -81; Hamlin drops to third -115; Blaney drops to fourth -118; and Chase Elliott is in fifth -143.

As it stands, Tyler Reddick is placed in sixteenth on the Playoff Grid +10 over Jimmy Johnson which is remarkable considering Johnson missed the Brickyard 400 because he contracted the coronavirus prior to the race.

After Keselowski won, multiple sources confirmed that he and Team Penske agreed to a contract extension. This week drivers will get a double-dose of the Irish Hills in Michigan. I doubt a driver without a win will break through so I believe Keselowski will win the Firekeepers Casino 400 and Hamlin will win the Consumers Energy 400. For those who participate in NASCAR Fantasy Live, Race Lock times are 4:15 and 4:45 PM EDT respectively. Good luck
