Denny Hamlin wins entertaining inaugural eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway

Today’s inaugural eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational race at Homestead-Miami Speedway was amazing. Live races at Homestead are always exciting, but I was skeptical about how a virtual race would go.

The stars of the sport came out to compete on iRacing. The field had a mixture of drivers from the ARCA Menards Series, and NASCAR Trucks, Xfinity and Cup Series. Side-by-side racing race throughout the field feature battled between drivers five-star and three-star teams and drivers with varied levels of experience. At time during today’s race, Timmy Hill, Garrett Smithley and Parker Kligerman were among the drivers leading the race, and driver like Ryan Blaney were crew chiefs and spotters.

But experience rose to the occasion late in the race as usual. Denny Hamlin, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Chase Briscoe were battling for the win. Dale Jr. lost another race by one corner. Today, it was Denny Hamlin.

Hamlin came from mind-pack and charged to the front. He passed Jr. with two laps to go but Jr. stayed even with him until they made contact, ultimately handing the win to win to Hamlin. Unfortunately, I didn’t assemble a considered list of winners for this and cannot because the field size will vary depending on the drivers’ availability.

Congrats to Denny Hamlin for winning the entertaining inaugural eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invutational Series race at Homestead.
