Since Morris won the Xtreme Dirt Tour championship in Season 2, he has offers to drive for elite teams in both Dirt and Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Knowing that is true, he is debating whether he should focus solely on the NASCAR Xfinity Series in the future.
After finishing 5th at Michigan, he was offered the opportunity to drive for MBM Motorsports in season 4. It’s the next step up for him, regardless of the his standards of competition. After spending four total seasons as an owner, he is considering the possibility of stepping away from that role completely for the foreseeable future/
Driving for MBM Motorsports may not be the most impressive job out there, but he would be graduating to the next series.
In an interview I recently conducted with Morris, he emphasized, “If I advance to the NASCAR (Xfinity) Series next season, my focus will be primarily with whomever I sign with, excluding the potential of being a team owner. I’m just excited to have an opportunity ro chase my dream
When asked whether he cared what team he goes to, he declared emphatically, “I’ll go to whomever I can go to. If it’s a team not capable of winning, I don’t care!”
An announcement is expected to be made official in he next few days.
Stay tuned …
